Focus

I’ve recently started thinking about writing to help improving my vocabulary and writing skills, and I really think it may help me during this time in New Zealand.
After my first month I suddenly realized that life is not easy in any part of the world, but on the other hand it’s absolutely fascinating to know how people from other cultures think about life. It was fantastic when I first came here and met my friends and I could not be more happier about getting very close to them in a such short time, even though each one of us is a different nationality we could hang out together normally as if we were part of the same country, state, neighborhood, etc.
I can describe my first three weeks here as part of a fantasy which I knew would be finished soon. At the end of the first week I had already met a fantastic girl and we spent some nice time together, what I want to say its two foreigners out and about in Auckland, no worries or concerns about anything other than study during the morning and enjoy the rest of the day.
Now, she is gone and I can actually focus on my learning process and do what I should’ve done in the first place, however I cannot regret a single day I ‘ve spent here so far, cause I know it will not come back, ever again.
I’ve also learned something about living here, we just have to make sure to do whatever we are up to doing, without forgetting our responsibilities as students and actually as people who are experiencing what for most of us would be a unique chance of knowing people in such a diversified way.

Travel Summary

First Thought

I could describe myself as a real nerd some years ago as my mother always told me “stop breaking your entire toys son”. In the past few years I’ve actually worked in the same company, fixing computers, well not only that, but also servers in very important companies in Brazil.
As much as I like to work with computers, my last job showed me some new perspectives from what I had not noticed until I actually, stopped and thought about everything that was happening. My salary was better, but I also had to drive the company car around the city, which left me without having enough time to do my college, however I figured that out and I was able to finish it.
While you are learning new things, I would say, that was the most important aspect that I could’ve have learnt from my last job. I’ve become a better person in all ways, I could ever have expected and that happened without me noticing. In the middle of all the stress I went through, becoming better was my reward.
What I could for sure take as a lesson from my work experience was that even if your salary is good enough to keep you spending money on whatever you want, clothes, cars, going to clubs and everything that could actually make you happy, you cannot live like that for too long, at least I couldn’t, as old as you are, I think we absolve this naturally.
